messageGood afternoon, I have been looking at your SQE courses and would like your advice. I imagine I am unusual, because I am interested in training as a solicitor (doing SQE1&2), however, I have no intention (at the moment) of becoming a solicitor as a career. My interest in the law is because I am a founder of Educational Freedom, a national organisation supporting home educators throughout the UK. With Elective Home Education becoming more popular in the UK, the government are trying to strip parents of their responsibilities through guidance and legislation (though the law has not yet changed), and are encouraging Local Authorities to take more law-abiding individuals to court in order to force children into a school system that doesn't fit. Having never studied the law, nor knowing the intricacies of protected terms, like 'solicitor'; would there be any benefit to me studying SQE without the 2 Year Work Experience element (and presumably I wouldn't be able to be added to the Roll of Solicitors)? Or is there a possibility of doing the Work Experience Element virtually or part time? I don't know if anywhere offers that? Finally, if there is a benefit to me doing the courses, how long would I have access to the materials from QLTS? (I would be thinking of studying over a longer period of time, like 18months, due to the voluntary work I do for Educational Freedom taking up much of my time.) Many thanks for your help, Liz
