message | I signed up for the SQE1 Advantage course on 22nd April. I received an e-mail on 25th April advising that my study package was on its way (courier: UPS, tracking number 1Z60214YDK90736650). There was nothing in this e-mail or the course materials indicating that the delivery address would be anything other than my home address. On the morning of 28th April the courier’s website showed that the parcel status as “out for delivery”, so I rearranged my work schedule to work from home. When I again in the afternoon, I was very surprised to see the status updated to “delivered” with the delivery address being a UPS collection/drop off store (Gaitside Drive, Aberdeen, AB10 7BJ). I tried to call the courier to enquire why the parcel was not delivered to my home address but was put on a long waiting queue and therefore decided to pick up the parcel directly from the collection store. Proof of identity was not requested. Although I now have the study materials, this is very disappointing service for a course which is priced at nearly £2,000: I don’t think that it is unreasonable to expect a critical portion of what I pay for to be delivered at my home address (or at least to be given the option to choose whether I prefer to travel to a collection point and pick up an 8kg parcel myself!). I hope this is noted by QLTS and that it is not a reflection of the quality of the remainder of the training course… |
